Robust data capture capabilities

The Accruent Field platform helps you capture all field data as part of a task. Basic data capture components include checklists, text input, comment boxes, drop-downs, photos, and videos.

Component	Description
Text input	Capture text within a mobile page. Use one of three types: Text, number, or password input.
View text	Use this read-only field for titles and headers. Align text to the left, right, center, or justified. The header and paragraph text components support select-to-call, email, or URL redirection.
Absolute date and time input	Show the same date or time regardless of the time zone. This is useful for teams working across different regions who need to see an exact time.
Date and time input	Capture both date and time. Select the field to open a calendar and clock. The app displays time based on your device's locale and time zone.
Buttons	Perform actions such as submitting a task or navigating between pages.
Collapsible content box	Hide long chunks of text until you select the downward-facing arrow. You can add any component to this box.
Data grid	Add or display data in a table. For example, select a part type and enter a quantity to add it to the parts table.
Data grid color indicators	Configure text colors, status indicators, and background color tags to highlight important data visually.
Radio (single select)	Select a single option from a list. Use this when only a few options are available. You can also assign color codes to each answer option.
Checkbox	Select one or more options from a list. Use this to activate or deactivate specific functions.
Document viewer	Download and preview documents such as PDFs and 3D models (.obj, .stl, .dae).
File upload	Upload files from your device to the Accruent Field server. This supports images, videos, and documents.
Media upload with comments	Combine media uploads with a text comment box. The app stores photos taken in the field to your device's photo gallery by default.
Photo input	Capture a photo using the camera or upload images from your device gallery.
Video input	Capture or upload .mp4 videos. You can preview, change, or delete videos before submission.
Map (single point)	View a specific location on a map marked with a pin. Select the marker to view the address.
