EMS Release Notes 226.2.0

This release fixes an issue where the Platform Service API returned NULL for admintemplateid and admintemplatename for Everyday Users with a non‑default Security Template and now returns the correct template without resetting it during user updates. API returns valid security templates and keeps your assigned template during updates.

Email Sent timestamps in the Desktop Client now reflect the configured time zone. Email history now shows consistent timestamps across all reservation email entry points, with no manual conversion required.

Now in the Navigator, the Change Miscellaneous Booking Information wizard tool includes future confirmed bookings.

Analytics queries in the EMS Desktop Client now export successfully to Excel.

Large query reports now complete successfully in the cloud without HTTP 500 errors for extended date ranges.

Billing reports show Client Type correctly for all record types, not only invoices. This change improves analysis and removes workarounds.

Browse for Reservations now shows one result per reservation when users filter by Booking Detail Item Amount. Duplicate entries no longer appear.

The Banquet event order (BEO) report now shows the correct currency for each resource category in bookings with multiple currencies.

Visitor check‑in time now displays correctly in query reports using the local time zone. The check‑in time is consistent across Query Reports, Booking Properties, and the Visitors tool.

The Date Added timestamp on Group record comments now shows the correct local time at comment creation

Room configuration editor now saves all changes in a single edit, including setup type and capacity settings. Changes now persist correctly on the first save.

Desktop Client now uploads SVG floor plan diagrams without becoming unresponsive. Floor plan uploads now complete successfully through Configuration > Facilities > Floor Plan Diagrams, even for complex SVG files.

Resource Import Format now states that all fields must appear in the import file and that only the Description field requires full data. This clarification improves first-attempt import success

Query reports now calculate Total Sales (Net) correctly when reservations contain duplicate reservation level UDFs. Pricing totals now reflect actual resource costs without inflation.

Reservations now preserve internal admin created UDFs when users edit Additional Information on reservations. Edits no longer remove these fields.

The Web App no longer places description or filename text over thumbnails, previews, or enlarged images. Required descriptions no longer affect image display, and all image sizes now show without text overlays.

The Web App now correctly updates the date or time for recurring reservations with Services without displaying an incorrect blank red error banner.

Users can now edit bookings created from service‑only templates with no services in the EMS Web App without triggering an internal error, and the system correctly returns them to the Reservation Details page with a confirmation message.

You can now open the About popup during reservation creation. The popup displays process template information and booking rules, does not reload the page, and works across supported browsers.

This fix prevents reservation and booking status from changing when an everyday user updates a reservation. Status now remains Web Request until an approver updates the request.

You can now create recurring reservations in the Web App with the Recurrence dialog showing the Process Template time zone by default.

My Reservation Template set to GMT‑10 now allow reservations on the final allowed booking day without start‑time errors.

Dashboard notifications now displays the correct timestamp, the notification time matches the booking creation time in your configured time zone.

My Account loads without errors after you configure approvals and filters. You can view personalization filters and add or manage delegates as expected.

EMS now allows overnight recurring reservations that extend past midnight. Reservations with later start times than end times save successfully and display all occurrences correctly on the Reservation Created page.

Group contact selection now works correctly in the Web App. When you search for and select a contact in a group, the Contact dropdown shows the contact immediately and makes it available without a page refresh.

Availability results now include reservations that end at 12:00 AM, including bookings that span a month boundary. When you search for availability, reservations ending at midnight appear correctly without manual end‑time changes.

Room availability search now reflects course bookings in the Reserve a Classroom Web Process Template. When you search for availability or view the schedule, rooms with existing course bookings appear as unavailable, so you can identify open classrooms without conflicts.

The Include Cisco Webex option now authenticates correctly when you create reservations from Exchange‑enabled templates, and Outlook invites include Webex meeting details.

Overnight bookings appear on the expected day in Schedule View. Rooms reserved by these bookings display as unavailable for the full reserved time, even when a reservation extends past midnight.

VIP Event notifications update as expected when marked as Reviewed in the Dashboard. Selecting a VIP Event notification and clicking Reviewed marks the notification as reviewed and removes it from the default Dashboard view, consistent with other notification rule types.

Newly added contacts now appear immediately in the Requested By list during booking creation, so users can search for, add, and select contacts without restarting the app.

Reservation status now updates to Cancelled when all associated bookings are cancelled in EMS Desktop. Cancelled reservations are no longer shown in the My Events view, ensuring the Current and Past tabs remain accurate.

Booking range validation now works correctly for Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney (EST) time zones. Bookings on the final allowed date no longer receive an incorrect Conflict status.

Meeting invitations send correctly to all attendees when you select Send from the Room Scheduling view. The room booking appears on the calendar and attendees receive the invitation, regardless of the view used to send it.

The Outlook add-in sets the meeting location when you select and confirm rooms, which allows you to send meeting requests without a no location warning error.

Meeting start and end times set in the EMS COM Add‑in now correctly apply to Outlook. Outlook no longer resets meetings to the default 30 minute duration, and custom meeting lengths persist in Outlook 2016 and Outlook 365.

Reservations created through the Platform Services API now honor the sourceId provided in the request. The reservation Source reflects the integration used, even with a User Authentication Token, and no longer defaults to Default Source for New Reservation.

The Reservations API now allows you to create bookings for days before an all‑day building closure.

The Platform API now applies booking cutoff rules correctly when you create reservations. Requests that meet the configured cutoff time and day‑based rules now succeed and align with EMS Web App behavior.

The Room Availability Search (Multiple Templates) API honors the PageSize parameter and returns accurate page and results counts for reliable pagination.

You can now publish Terms successfully even when instructor names exceed 50 characters. The system safely truncates long instructor names during publishing and completes the process without errors.
