EMS for Outlook Client Installation

The EMS for Outlook add-in provides access to self-service room reservations and resource booking directly from Microsoft Outlook 365 and is compatible with all operating systems. When you enable the web add-in on your account, it runs in a side task pane. You don’t need to install it separately for each Outlook client, such as Windows, Mac, or the web version.

EMS for Microsoft Outlook web deployment option

We recommend using the web deployment option to install EMS for Outlook locally on client computers. As an administrator, you can host EMS for Outlook on a web server, allowing you to push the URL to EMS administrators. This enables them to download EMS for Outlook without needing administrative privileges on their local machines.

Benefits of web deployment:

  • The web deployment application installs on your web server, including the EMS for Outlook add-in.

  • You can easily access the EMS Web Deployment Application through a web browser, which provides a link to download the EMS for Outlook add-in.

  • When you download and run the link, EMS for Outlook installs in your profile on the workstation.

  • The EMS for Outlook add-in automatically checks the server for updated versions each time you launch it, downloading and installing updates as needed.
