Access EMS Kiosk App
Simplify and streamline your facility management tasks with the EMS Kiosk app.
Prerequisites
You must configure profiles in the EMS Desktop Client to perform the tasks on this page.
You need permissions to log into the EMS Kiosk app as an Administrator and enable provisioning. If you haven't configured permissions, create an Everyday User Security Template in the EMS Desktop Client, assign it the Kiosk Provisioning role, and apply it to the appropriate Everyday User Account.
Access EMS Kiosk App
-
Browse to the URL you set during installation:
-
On-premises: http://[ServerName]/EMSKiosk. Replace [ServerName] with the name of your web server.
-
Cloud: https://[domain].emscloudservice.com/kiosk. Replace [domain] with your specific domain.
If you have already provisioned the EMS Kiosk app and the Profile Selection page does not appear during the provisioning process, add #/config to the end of your Kiosk app URL. This action redirects you to the Profile Selection page.
-
-
In Name This Kiosk, provide a unique name. This name helps identify this instance in the log files. Each provisioning instance of the EMS Kiosk App requires a unique name.
-
Enter your Everyday User Name and Password. You see the provisioning page only when the Kiosk instance is not provisioned, such as:
-
When you have cleared cookies on the previously provisioned Kiosk device.
-
When you launch a second instance of the EMS Kiosk app on the same device in an incognito browser.
-
During the required yearly re-provisioning.
-
If you configure the EMS Platform Services for LDAP, use your LDAP credentials on the provisioning page. If not, enter the credentials for a regular user in the username and password fields. The username is typically your email address, but it is determined by the Field Used to Authenticate Everyday User parameter in the EMS Desktop Client. Ensure the everyday user has the Web Admin security template assigned. The EMS Kiosk app remains provisioned for 1 year. For security reasons, you must re-provision it yearly.
-
Click Save Changes.
-
In Kiosk Profile Selection, select a profile.
-
Click Yes, Apply Profile.
For example, the Kiosk Name for initial provisioning might be 3rd Floor Lobby_1. The Kiosk Name for 2nd provisioning would be 3rd Floor Lobby_2.
