Enable Visitor Management
Visitor Management allows users to add visitors or guest attendees who are not part of your organization to reservations.
This feature is available only if your organization has purchased and enabled the Visitor Management module. Contact your Professional Services representative for assistance with licensing and deployment.
Visitor Management enables reception and front-desk staff to:
- Check in visitors
- Print visitor badges
- Access visitor lists
- Run visitor-related reports
To enable Visitor Management, complete the following tasks:
- Configure a visitor category.
- Configure Everyday User Process Templates.
- Add the visitor category to process templates.
- Authorize users to manage visitors.
- Configure buildings for unregistered visitor reservations.
Configure a visitor category

Select Configuration > Administration > Categories.
The Categories window opens.

Select New.
The Category window opens.

On the Category tab, enter a name in Category.

In Category Type, select Attendees.

Select Attendees Are Visitors.
Attendees added through this category are automatically marked as visitors.

Select the Everyday User Applications tab.

Select Display to Everyday Users.
The category becomes available to EMS Web App and EMS for Outlook users.

Select OK.
Add the visitor category to a process template

Select Configuration > Everyday User Applications > Everyday User Process Templates.
The Everyday User Process Templates window opens.

Select the process template to which you want to add the visitor category and then select Edit.
The selected template opens.

Open the Categories tab.

Select the visitor category in the Available list.

Select the move button (>) to move the category to the Selected list.

Select OK.
Authorize users to manage visitors
If only specific users should be allowed to manage visitors, use the Assign function on the process template to grant access to those users.
Configure unregistered visitor behavior
Configure the buildings that allow unregistered visitor reservations.
