Define Resource Selections and Selection Items

Define selections and selection items for a resource to require users to choose from predefined options when reserving a resource.

Define selections and selection items

1. Select Configuration > Resources.

   A list of configured categories opens.

2. Select the category for which you are configuring resource selections.

   The Resources window opens and displays the active resources for the selected category.

3. Optional: To display all resources regardless of status, select Inactive in Show.

4. Optional: To filter the resource list, enter a value in Filter.

   The search is not case-sensitive. The value must match the beginning of the resource name. For example, a search for "Cold" returns "Cold Boxed Lunches" but not "Sandwiches (Cold)".

5. Select the resource for which you want to configure selections, and then select Selections.

   The Selections window opens and displays all active selections configured for the resource.

6. Select New.

   The Selection window opens on the Selection tab.

7. In Description, enter a name or description for the selection.

8. Open the Items tab.

9. In Description, enter a name or description for each selection item.

10. Select OK.

Selection fields

Field	Description
Description	Name or description of the selection or selection item. Maximum length is 255 characters, including spaces.
Sequence	Controls the order in which selections or selection items display. Lower numbers appear first.
Min Pick	Minimum number of selection items that users must choose.
Max Pick	Maximum number of selection items that users can choose.
Notes	Additional information about the selection item.
