Configure Services for a Category

When users reserve a resource in the Catering or Resources with Service Orders category, they must select a service. A service defines how a resource is provided or delivered.

Examples of services include Delivery and Setup, Cleanup, Plated, and Buffet.

Configure a service

1. Select Configuration > Resources.

   A list of resource categories configured in your EMS database opens.

2. Select the category for which you want to configure services.

   The Resources window opens and displays the active resources configured for the selected category.

3. Select Services.

   The Services window opens and displays the active services configured for the category.

4. Optional: To display all services regardless of status, select Inactive in Show.

5. Select New.

   The Service window opens.

6. Enter the service information.

7. Select OK.

Service fields

Field	Description
Service	Name or description of the service. Maximum length is 30 characters, including spaces.
Sequence	Controls the order in which services display. Services display from lowest to highest sequence number. If all values are zero, EMS displays services alphabetically.
Available to Everyday Users	Makes the service available to EMS Web App users.
Inactive	Marks the service as inactive. Leave cleared to create an active service.
