Configure Groupings for a Resource

Groupings help organize resources within a category. For example, a Food Service category might contain groupings such as Beverages, Entrées, and Desserts.

You can configure groupings while creating resources or as a separate configuration task.

Configure a grouping

1. Select Configuration > Resources.

   A list of configured categories opens.

2. Select the category for which you want to configure groupings.

   The Resources window opens and displays the active resources configured for the selected category.

3. Select Groupings.

   The Groupings window opens and displays the groupings currently configured for the selected category.

4. Select New.

   The Grouping window opens.

5. In Grouping, enter a description of up to 50 characters, including spaces.

6. In Sequence, enter a number to control the display order of the grouping in EMS Web App.

   Groupings display from lowest to highest sequence number. If all sequence values are zero, EMS displays groupings alphabetically.

7. Select OK.
