Approve or Deny Reservation Requests

Use the status change options in the Navigator to approve, deny, cancel, or otherwise update reservation and booking requests submitted through EMS Web App.

Your administrator must grant the appropriate security permissions before you can change reservation or booking statuses.

You can also approve or deny multiple requests by using the Change booking status wizard.

  1. Open the reservation in the Navigator.
  2. In the left pane, select a reservation.
  3. On the Reservation summary tab, select Change status.
  4. In the Change booking status or Change reservation status window, select the new status.
  5. If you select a canceled status, complete the following required fields:
    • Reason
    • Who canceled
    • Notes
  6. Optional: Leave Update reservation status selected to update the parent reservation status when changing booking statuses.
  7. Optional: Select Send confirmation if successful to send a confirmation email to the associated group or individual.
  8. If required, enter a value in Reconfirm date.
  9. Select Next.
  10. In the Select bookings window, select the bookings to update.
  11. Optional: Use Hide canceled bookings or Hide old bookings to filter the list.
  12. Select Finish.

The Change booking status results window displays the results of the status update.

  • Select Show unchanged only to display only bookings that were not updated.
  • Select a booking and then select Go to to view details for that booking.

If the status change creates a resource inventory conflict, a Resource Inventory Conflicts report opens when you close the results window.

To manually run a resource inventory conflict report, select Tools > Resource inventory conflict from the Bookings folder.

  1. Select Close.
