Work Order Procedure Readings: Multi-Asset Selection and Navigation

Record procedure readings for multi-asset work orders using the Update readings modal. Use the asset selector and navigation toolbar to switch between assets. You can record all readings without closing the window.

Navigate between assets in the modal

When a work order contains multiple assets, switch between them within the Update readings modal. The modal includes an Asset number dropdown listing all assets on the work order. Selecting an asset switches the view to that asset's readings.

The navigation toolbar includes:

  • Previous (<) and Next (>) arrows to move through the list.

  • The asset number (for example, Asset# 1234).

  • A position indicator (for example, 1 of 5).

  • Read-only Asset description and Location description fields for the selected asset.

For single-asset work orders, the system hides the navigation toolbar.

Preserve readings during navigation

When you enter readings for an asset and navigate to a different asset, the system retains the entered data. Returning to the original asset displays the entered values. Select Update to save readings for all assets in the session. If you enter readings and select Cancel, the Leave without saving? confirmation modal appears to prevent data loss.

Clear procedure readings

Clear procedure readings at different scopes to reset entries without clearing each field. You can choose from three clear options:

  • Per-procedure Clear all: Within a procedure card, select X Clear all to clear sub-procedure readings for that procedure only. The system asks you to confirm before it resets the values.
  • Clear all > From current asset: Clears all readings for the currently active asset only.
  • Clear all > From all assets: Clears all readings for all assets in the session. A confirmation prompt appears before the system resets the values.

All clear actions reset field values to blank.
