Data Sources

A data source retrieves a subset of data from the TMS database. It includes data fields, aggregated data, source tables, relationships, and filters and sort criteria. It does not include formatting information for displaying or printing the data.

Create a data source to:

• View real-time analysis of your data without creating a new report.

• Provide the foundation for a report definition that includes formatting details.

• Serve as the basis for a TMS Dashboard widget to support daily operations.

In Data Sources, you have access to:

• Create: Add a new data source to the system.

• Quick Search: If you have the data source number, access its details, which provides quick access to view or update information.

• Query: Search for data sources that match the criteria you specify.
