Copy Assets

Duplicate an existing asset to quickly create a new one without re-entering all the details.

1. Open the asset you want to copy.

2. In the Actions list, select Copy asset.

3. Enter a unique New asset number and review details from the asset you copied.

4. Choose your preventive maintenance or inspection schedule handling option:

   • Copy active schedules: Copies only active schedules to the new asset.

   • Copy active & unscheduled schedules: Copies all schedules.

   • Create PM schedules by category: Creates a new PM schedule based on the default schedule for the asset category and subcategory.

   • Do not create/copy PMs and INs for this asset: Creates new asset without schedules.

5. Choose whether to copy contacts and materials.

6. Select Copy.

The new asset opens. You can add more details as needed.
