Auto Notifications

Automatic notifications enable customer status notifications to be sent to requestors after a specific number of hours from the start date/time of a work request. This is a proactive notification for specific properties where customers want automated updates sent out to stay informed even if a status has changed. The time frame for sending out such notifications are set up at the property level. The email notification that is sent out is customizable by your administrator.

Configuration settings for these notifications include:

  1. Auto Notify time setting is set on the Edit Property page using the Auto Notify Time field
  2. Auto Notification email formats can be set on either the Admin Installation Options or Admin Installation Options by Property page.
  3. Notifications can be excluded by Origination Code.
  4. Notifications can be excluded from Scheduled work orders by setting the notification rules on the Schedule Details page.

Rules for sending out notifications include:

  1. Any work orders changed from a Closed status back to an Open will not have an auto notification sent.
  2. The starting point for the notification time frame is based on the scheduled date/time of the work order.
  3. The calculated date for sending the auto notification is based on a 24-hour continuous clock (not on the property business hours).
  4. If a request is closed before an auto notification is set to be sent, no notification is sent.
  5. If the requestor does not have an email address defined, no notification is sent.
