My Survey Approvals

The My Survey Approvals page displays all space surveys awaiting your approval. Since each space can individually be submitted for approval, each row on the page represents an individual space in a space survey. You can approve or reject each space.

If you approve a space survey, the status of the survey is changed to Committed. If you reject a space survey, the status of the space survey is changed to Rejected and the space is made available again for surveyors to examine and edit.

To open the My Survey Approvals page:

  1. Access the Space Survey module by clicking the Space Survey link at the top of the page.
  2. Select the My Approvals tab.

    All surveys awaiting your approval are listed.

You can approve or reject a space survey in two ways:

Approving or rejecting a space survey from the Edit Survey page allows you to carefully examine all of the suggested changes and potentially make modifications before approving or rejecting the survey.

To approve or reject a space survey from the Edit Survey page:

  1. Locate the survey you want to approve or reject in the Surveys Waiting for Approval list.

    You can click on the column headers to resort the surveys, if needed.

  2. Click the Survey ID link.
    The Edit Survey page opens displaying the survey's contents.

  3. Click the tabs at the bottom of the page to examine the suggested updates to the space.

    The Current Space pane on the left side displays the original space information. The Current Survey pane on the right displays the suggested updates.

  4. Make any changes you deem necessary to the suggested updates.

  5. Click one of the following buttons:

    • On Hold – Places the survey in an On Hold status to indicate to other approvers that you are is currently examining the changes. This will help prevent other approvers from interfering with your work.

    • Approve – Indicates that you approve of the changes made to the space. Once all the required approvals are complete, the space is updated.

    • Reject – Indicates that you do not approve of the submitted changes and sends it back to the surveyors for modification. If your survey includes a complex allocation, a dialog box opens allowing you to reject only the information submitted by specific allocated groups (departments). When a survey is rejected, it becomes editable again. The surveyors can then modify the information and re-submit it for approval.

    • Cancel – Click to discard any updates you have made and close the page.

You can also approve or reject space surveys directly from the My Survey Approvals page. You may want to do this if you have already examined the contents of one or more space surveys on the Edit Survey page and want to give your final approval or rejection.

To approve or reject a space survey from the My Survey Approvals:

  1. Select the check box to the right of the surveys you want to approve or reject.

    You can select multiple space surveys to approve or reject. You can select all space surveys by selecting the check box above the list.

  2. Click the APPROVE or REJECT button.
