Admin Portal for Mobile - Environment Configuration

Use the Environment and branding area in the Admin Portal to verify environment details and the service account used by the environment. You can also customize branding, view configuration overrides, and view configured dashboard and help content. You can:

  • Verify the connected FAMIS URL and the sysadmin (service) account in use.

  • Understand API call handling: the mobile app makes most API calls with the user’s token. The service account is primarily used to fetch shared lists.

  • Update branding by setting a logo and primary/secondary colors; changes appear on the login page, main menu, and dashboard. The app icon visible on the device home screen does not change and will remain the Accruent FAMIS logo.

  • View configuration overrides to control app behavior (for example, form fields, menu descriptions, workbench filters).

  • View the dashboard greeting, subtitle, and the Need Help section so end users see your support contact information.

Verify environment details

  1. In the Admin Portal, navigate to your selected app ID.

  2. Select Environment.

The Environment tab confirms the connected FAMIS URL and the sysadmin account in use.

Update branding

  1. In the Admin Portal, navigate to your selected app ID.

  2. Select Environment.

  3. In the Branding tab, update the logo, and the primary and secondary colors.

Hex color codes must be used for the primary and secondary color settings.

  4. Select Update branding.

  5. Verify changes on the login page, main menu, and dashboard.

Note that the app icon on the device home screen remains unchanged.

We recommend to make branding changes in the customer test environment first to ensure they look the way desired, and then applying the same updates to the production environment app.

Verify configuration overrides

  1. In the Admin Portal, navigate to your selected app ID.

  2. Select Environment.

  3. In the Custom Data tab, confirm the environment details fetched from FAMIS, as well as the mobile specific configurations set for the app ID.

  4. To view the configuration override settings for mobile, search for the configOverride details.

If you are interested in configuration updates to your mobile app, or have questions about the configOverride settings that have been set for your mobile app, please contact Accruent Support for further assistance.

The configuration override settings can pertain to:

  • The way form fields that appear in the app.

  • Menu descriptions.

  • Workbench filters for targeted data views.

  • Dashboard greetings and messaging.

  • Dashboard Need Help information that indicates your organization’s support contact information for users to refer to if they need assistance.

  • Use overrides to deliver customer-specific changes quickly without a full release.
