Project View

The Project view page displays a high-level, graphical representation of the parent/child hierarchy that a work order is included in, allowing you to see, at a glance, an overview of the entire hierarchy.

To open the Project View page:

  1. Locate and open a work order in the hierarchy using the Find Request or the My Requests page.

  2. In the Parent/Child Work Orders pane, click the Project View link.

General Information

The gray pane at the top of the page contains general information about the work order you were viewing when you clicked the Project View link. The following information is displayed:

  • Request ID – the unique identifier of the work request

  • Property – the property where the work will be done; clicking this link displays the property details

  • Location – the location within the property where the work will be done, including one or more of the following fields:

    • Space/Floor – Select a value to associate the request with a particular space or floor. Some systems group spaces and floors together and some use separate space and floor values.

    • Floor – Select a value to associate the request with a particular floor within the property.

    • Space – Select a value to associate the request with a particular space within the property. You cannot select a space until after you select a floor.

    • Sub-Space – Select a value to associate the request with a particular subSpace within the property. You cannot select a subSpace until after you select a space.

  • Priority/Status – the current work priority and request status for the request

  • Type/SubType – the type and subType of the work to be done

  • Requested By – the name of the person making the request; this may or may not be the same person as the request creator

  • Date Requested – the date on which the request was created

  • Estimated Amount – the estimated cost to complete the work request

  • Not to Exceed Amt – the maximum cost to complete the work request; this value can be defined on either a system-wide or per-property basis

  • Estimated Labor Hrs – the estimated number of hours of work needed to complete this request

Hierarchy View

The hierarchy view displays a graphical representation of the set of work requests included in the hierarchy. Each request that is displayed is indented to show where it falls within the parent/child relationship.

The request that you are currently viewing is displayed with an orange background to distinguish it from the other requests.

  • Clicking a gray arrow icon to the left of a request hides/shows the children of that request.

  • Clicking the Show All Children link at the top of the pane shows all children at all levels.

  • Clicking an Expand/Minimize link to the right of a request hides/shows details about the request.

  • Clicking the Expand All Details/Minimize All Details link at the top of the pane hides/shows details about all requests.

  • Clicking a Request ID link opens the Request Details page for that request.
