Reorder

The Reorder page allows you to identify which stock inventory parts have reached a level requiring reordering. These items can then easily be selected and placed on a purchase requisition to facilitate the reorder process. The Reorder function is only available if Advanced Inventory is enabled.

Only items that are Eligible For Reorder, as established on the Material Item Details page when the inventory item was defined, can be reordered on this page.

A list of all items in the selected warehouse whose inventory levels are below their reorder point are listed at the bottom of the page.

Only the first 2000 items are displayed. If your search returns more than 2000 items, you can either narrow your search or work with the displayed 2000 items first and then rerun the search.

The following information is displayed and can assist you in determining the quantity of items to reorder.

  3. For each item you want to add to the purchase requisition, specify the following values:

    1. In the Required Date field, click the calendar icon to change the date the items are required.

You do not need to specify the same required date for each item.

    2. In the Order Quantity field, enter a value indicating the number of items you want to reorder.

The displayed value is the recommended number of items to order. This value is the number items required to push the on-hand quantity over the reorder point when items are ordered in multiples of the suggested EOQ.

Depending on your system's configuration, the recommended value may also subtract out items currently included in approved PRs and POs. You can see these values by selecting the Show Details check box.

    3. Select the check box on the right to indicate that the item should be included in the PR.

Clicking the check box at the top of the column selects or clears all items on the page.

  4. Click CREATE PR.

A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  5. Click OK.

A link to the PR you created is displayed. Clicking that link opens the Purchase Requisition Details page for the new PR.

The items you included are removed from the search results list. You can select additional items and create another PR, if needed.
