Add Asset Document

The Add Asset Document page allows you to associate an electronic document with an asset. Attaching a document allows you to ensure warranty information, operations manuals, photographs, and other important documents are readily available.

To add a document:

  1. On the Asset Details page, click the Add Document link.

    The Add Asset Document page opens.

  2. In the Document Name field, enter the name of the document.

  3. In the Document Type field, select a value indicating the type of document you are adding, for example, operations manual or photograph.

  4. Click the Browse button associated with the Select File field to locate the electronic document you want to add.

    You can attach a file from your local hard disk or any networked drive you can access. Files should be no larger than 20MB; the larger the file, the longer it takes to access.

  5. Click OK.

    The Asset Details page displays the attached document in the Documentation pane.
