Reservation Status
A reservation status is a configurable status value that specifies the current state of a reservation, for example, Open or On-Hold, and associates the status with particular types of application behavior. The values you define on this page are used to specify the value for the Status field on the Reservation Details page.
To open the Reservation Status page:

Open the Administration Menu page.

Under the RESERVATION ADMIN heading, click Reservation Status.
To add a reservation status:

In the New Reservation Status field, enter the name of the reservation status.
This is the value that will be displayed to users.

Click ADD.
Once you have created a reservation status, you can further define it or edit it. To edit a reservation status:

In the Reservation Status field, select the reservation status to edit.

To change the name of the reservation status, enter a value in the Rename field.
All historical information will reflect the new value.

In the Default Open Status field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for open reservations.

In the Closing Status field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for closed reservations.

In the Entered In Error field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for reservations that were entered in error.

In the On Hold field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for on-hold reservations.

In the Default Approved field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for approved reservations.

In the Default Declined field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for declined reservations.

In the Default Cancelled field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for cancelled reservations.

In the Default Pending field, select a value.
Selecting Yes indicates that this is the status that the default status for pending reservations.

To change the display order, enter a value in the Tab Order field.
The Tab Order indicates the position, in menus, where this value will be listed. Lower numbered values are displayed toward the top of the list. Values will the same tab order will be sorted alphabetically.

In the Status field, select a value.
Reservation status values with a status of Inactive are not displayed to users. However, inactivating a reservation status value does not affect the existing reservations that utilize it.

Click UPDATE.
Reservation status values that have not been used can be deleted from the system.
Reservation status values that have been associated with a reservation cannot be deleted, but they can be inactivated to prevent users from accessing them.
To delete a reservation status value:

In the Reservation Status field, select the value to delete.

Click DELETE.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.
