Hours of Operation
Defining an hours of operation value allows you to define the hours that a particular type of resource is available at a particular property. You can define different hours of operation values for a particular resource type at properties or in regions. For example, pool cars may be available in Chicago from 8:00am to 10:00pm, but may only available in Los Angeles from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
To open the Hours of Operation page:

Open the Administration Menu page.

Under the RESERVATION ADMIN heading, click Normal Hours of Operation.
To add an hours of operation value:

In the Resource Type field, select the type of resources you are defining hours of operation for.
- In the New Hours of Operation field, enter a name for this hours of operation value.

Specify the location where this hours of operation value will be enforced.
- Property – Click the Select link to associate this hours of operation value with a particular property. If you select a property, the Region field disappears.
- Region – Select a value to associate this hours of operation value with a particular region. If you select a region and then select a property that is not in the selected region, the region value is cleared.

Click ADD.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.
- Click OK.
Once you have created an hours of operation value, you can edit it. To edit an hours of operation value:

In the Resource Type field, select the hours of operation value you want to edit.
Only resource types for which hours of operation values have been created are listed.

To change the name of the hours of operation value, enter a name in the Rename field.
All historical information will reflect the new value.

Enter the hours of operation for each day of the week.
By default, the system assigns 8:00 am to 5:00 pm hours and a minimum order time of 1 hour to every weekday. Define the following values for each day of the week.
- Start Time – Enter a value indicating the time of day that this type of resource is first available.
- End Time – Enter a value indicating the time of day that this type of resource is no longer available.
- Minimum Order Time – Enter the minimum amount of time this type of resource can be reserved for.
- In the Startup Time Required field, select a value indicating amount of time the reservation coordinator needs for set-up before the actual reservation time.
- In the Holiday Minimum Order Time field, select a value indicating how long before the start time a reservation needs to be made if it is made on a holiday.

Click UPDATE.
Hours of operation values that have not been used can be deleted from the system. Hours of operation values that have been associated with a reservation cannot be deleted, but they can be inactivated to prevent users from accessing them.
To delete an hours of operation value:

In the Resource Type field, select the hours of operation value you want to delete.
Only resource types for which hours of operation values have been created are listed.

Click DELETE.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

Click OK.
