Resources
Resources are used to identify tasks associated with a provision, for example, Wiring or Router Configuration might be Networking resources. These values can be used on the Associate Resources to Provisions Types and Associate Resources to Positions pages to associate the appropriate resources. They also populate the Resource Requests pane menu on the Provision Details page.
To open the Resources page:

Open the Administration Menu page.

Under the PROVISION ADMIN heading, click Resources.
To add a resource:

In the Resource field, enter the name of the resource.
This is the value that will be displayed to users.
- In the Resource Type field, select the resource type this resource will be classified under.
- In the Default Type field, select a default request type for this type of resource.
- In the Default SubType field, select a default request type for this type of resource.
- Click the Assigned To Select link to select the user the request will be assigned to.

Click ADD.
The resource is added to the list in the yellow pane.
Once you have created a resource, you can edit it. To edit a resource:

In the Current Resources and Assignments pane, click the EDIT button to the right of the resource you want to edit.
The Edit Resource dialog box opens.

In the Resource Description field, enter the new name of the resource.
This is the value that will be displayed to users.

In the Resource Type field, select the resource type this resource will be classified under.
- In the Type field, select a default request type for this type of resource.
- In the SubType field, select a default request type for this type of resource.
- Click the Assigned To Select link to change the user the request will be assigned to.
- In the Estimated Hours field, enter a numeric value indicating the estimated number of hours this task should take to complete.
- In the Send Notifications field, select Yes to send a notification to the person who will complete the work.

To change the status, select a value in the Status field.
Resources with a status of Inactive are not displayed to users. However, inactivating a resource does not affect the existing provisions that utilize it

Click UPDATE.
The resource is updated in the yellow pane.
Resources types that have not been used can be deleted from the system.
Resources that have been associated with a provision cannot be deleted, but they can be inactivated to prevent users from accessing them.
To delete a resource :

In the Current Resources and Assignments pane, click the DEL button to the right of the resource you want to delete.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

Click OK.
