Provision Types
Provision types are used to identify the reason for a provision, for example, New Employee or Move Request. These values populate the Provision Type drop-down menu on the Create Provision page.
To open the Provision Types page:

Open the Administration Menu page.

Under the PROVISION ADMIN heading, click Provision Types.
To add a provision type:

In the Provision Type field, enter the name of the provision type.
This is the value that will be displayed to users.

Select one or more Action check boxes.
These actions define the driving reason behind the provision request.
- In the Default Type field, select a default request type for this type of provision.
- In the Default SubType field, select a default request type for this type of provision.

Click ADD.
The provision type is added to the list in the yellow pane.
Once you have created a provision type, you can edit it. To edit a provision type:

In the Current Provision Types pane, click the EDIT button to the right of the provision type you want to edit.
The Edit Provision Type dialog box opens.

In the Provision Type field, enter the new name of the provision type.
This is the value that will be displayed to users.

Select one or more Action check boxes.
These actions define the driving reason behind the provision request.
- In the Default Type field, select a default request type for this type of provision.
- In the Default SubType field, select a default request type for this type of provision.

To change the display order, enter a value in the Tab Order field.
The Tab Order indicates the position, in menus, where this value will be listed. Lower numbered values are displayed toward the top of the list. Values will the same tab order will be sorted alphabetically.

To change the status, select a value in the Status field.
Provision types with a status of Inactive are not displayed to users. However, inactivating a provision type does not affect the existing provisions that utilize it.

Click UPDATE.
The provision type is updated in the yellow pane.
Provision types that have not been used can be deleted from the system.
Provision types that have been associated with a provision cannot be deleted, but they can be inactivated to prevent users from accessing them.
To delete a provision type:

In the Current Provision Types pane, click the DEL button to the right of the provision type you want to delete.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

Click OK.
