Associate Resources to Positions
The Associate Resources to Provision Types page allows you to associate resources to positions. When a user creates a new provision type and clicks the Automatic link on the Resource Requests pane of the Provision Details page, all resources associated with the position of the selected user will be added. He can then elect to generate work orders for these resources.

Exceptions allow you to create exceptions for a position's resources based on the user's department. Exceptions can add or remove a particular resource for users who are associated with a particular department. For example, if all Interns in the Athletic department do not need an email account established, you could create this exception by electing to have the Email resource removed for these interns.
- In the Department field, select the department to create the exception for.
- Enter the Resource by clicking the Select link and selecting the resource.
- In the Add/Remove Resource field, select whether this resource should be added or removed.
-
Click ADD.
The selected exception is displayed in the yellow pane. To remove this exception, click the DELETE button to the right of the exception.
-
In the Other Options pane, you can elect to copy resources from another position to this one.
If you copy resources, they are added to the existing list of resources.
- In the Copy Resources from Position field, select the position you want to copy resources from.
- In the Include Exceptions field, select Yes if you want to include any defined exceptions for the copied resources, No to exclude the exceptions.
