Company Document Status

Company document status values are associated to company documents to specify the state of a document and any action needs to take place (for example, Expired, Pending, or Fully Executed). These values populate the Document Status drop-down menu on the Create Document page

To open the Company Document Status page:

  1. Open the Administration Menu page.

  2. Under the COMPANY ADMIN heading, click Company Document Status.

To add a document status value:

  1. In the Add Document Status field, enter the name of the document status value.

    This is the value that will be displayed to users.

  2. In the Default field, select Yes to make this the default status for new documents.

    Only one document status value can have this flag set to Yes.

  3. Click ADD.

    A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  4. Click OK.

Once you have created a document status value, you can edit it. To edit a document status value:

  1. In the Document Status field, select the document status value to edit.

  2. To change the name of the document status value, enter a value in the Rename field.

    All historical information will reflect the new value.

  3. To change the status, select a value in the Status field.

    Document status values with a status of Inactive are not displayed to users.

  4. Click UPDATE.

ClosedDelete a Company Document Status

Company document status values that have not been used can be deleted from the system.

Company document status values that have been associated with a company document cannot be deleted, but they can be inactivated to prevent users from accessing them.

To delete a document status value:

  1. In the Document Status field, select the document status value you want to delete.

  2. Click DELETE.

    A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click OK.
