Admin – Zones
The Admin – Zones page allows you to create a grouping of multiple properties, floors, or spaces so that they can be managed together.
The Admin – Zones page is only available if the Space module is enabled and zones are enabled in the space location hierarchy.
A zone can contain only one type of space, for example, a group of ten floors in a building. A zone contain three floors and four spaces. You can define the following types of zones:
- Property – A property zone is used to group multiple properties together. For example, you might create a property zone at a large university to group all of the Business school building together.
- Floor – A floor zone is used to group multiple floors together. The floors in a zone do not have to be contiguous and do not need to be in the same building. For example, you might create a floor zone to group all of the Retail floors in a set of office buildings together or another floor zone to group the top 5 floors of a luxury condominium together.
- Space – A space zone is used to group multiple spaces in a single building/tower together. Like floor zones, the spaces in a space zone do not need to be contiguous. For example, you might create a space zone in a large office building to group all of the bathrooms together or in a hospital to group all of the operating rooms together.
