Property Sub-Spaces
The Property Sub-Spaces page allows you to administrate the subSpaces within a property and add new subSpaces.
The Property Sub-Spaces page is only available if the Space module is enabled and subSpaces are enabled in the space location hierarchy.
The Property Sub-Spaces page allows administrators to define a limited set of parameters for a subSpace. For additional subSpace editing options, see the Edit Sub-Space page in the Space module.
To open the Property Sub-Spaces page:

Open the Administration Menu page.

Under the ADMIN heading, click Property Sub-Spaces.

Click SELECT PROPERTY.
A dialog box opens allowing you to find and select a property.
Once you select a property, all of the subSpaces in that property are listed. For each subSpace, the following information is displayed:
- Description – the name of the subSpace
- Floor – the floor the subSpace is located on
- Space – the space that the subSpace is located in
- Active – Yes if the subSpace is active
- Tab Order – indicates the value's position in drop-down menus where lower numbered values are listed first
- Last Updated By – the name of the user who last updated the subSpace
- Last Updated – the date and time when the last update to the subSpace was made
Adding a subSpace allows you to add a new subSpace within a property. To add a subSpace:

Click the Add New link.
The Add Sub-Space dialog box opens. The name of the property where you are adding the subSpace is displayed at the top of the dialog box.

In the Description field, enter a description of the subSpace.

In the Floor field, select a value to indicate the floor the subSpace is on.

In the Space field, select a value to indicate the space that contains the subSpace.

In the External Sub-Space ID field, enter a value to indicate a subSpace ID that is used in conjunction with an external system.

Enter a value in the Tab Order field.
The Tab Order indicates the position, in menus, where this value will be listed. Lower numbered values are displayed toward the top of the list. Values will the same tab order will be sorted alphabetically.

In the Active field, select Yes to indicate that this subSpace is active; No if it should be inactive.

Click ADD.
The subSpace is added and the list is updated.
Editing a subSpace allows you to make changes to a subSpace's basic parameters. To edit a subSpace:

Click the Edit link to the right of the subSpace you want to edit.
The Edit Sub-Space dialog box opens.

Modify any of the following fields.

Description – the description of the subSpace

Floor – the floor the subSpace is located on

Space – the space the subSpace is located within

External Sub-Space ID – the subSpace ID used in conjunction with an external system

Tab Order – indicates the value's position in drop-down menus where lower numbered values are listed first

Active – Yes if this subSpace is active

Click UPDATE.
The updated subSpace parameters are displayed, including the name of the user who edited the subSpace and the date and time it was modified.
If a subSpace is not needed or was entered in error you can delete it from the system.
Only subSpaces that have not been used can be deleted. You cannot delete a subSpace if it has work requests associated with it.
If a subSpace has been used but is no longer needed, you can edit it and make it Inactive to prevent it from being accessed by users.
To delete a subSpace:

Click the Edit link to the right of the subSpace you want to delete.

Click the Delete link in the upper right corner of the dialog box.
A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

Click OK.
